I am thrilled to share the exciting achievements of our Toombs County High School Esports program during the Fall 2023 season. Thanks to your steadfast support, our team not only secured its first 100-win season in program history but also celebrated our 450th victory and clinched our 48th playoff win. These milestones stand as a testament to the dedication and skill of our talented players.

In particular, our Splatoon 3 team once again demonstrated their prowess by finishing state runner-up, and our Mario Kart 8 Deluxe team reached the state quarterfinals for the second time. Your unwavering enthusiasm and encouragement continue to inspire our players to strive for greatness, and we are proud to represent Toombs County High School on the Esports stage.

Looking ahead, we are eager to build upon this season’s triumphs in both returning titles like Rocket League and Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, as well as in our ongoing pursuits of excellence in Splatoon 3 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. With your continued support, we are confident that our Esports program will reach new heights and create lasting memories for our players and community. Biography

Tyler Corley is the Head Coach for the Toombs County Bulldogs Esports team. In addition to his coaching duties, he also serves as a teacher of Audio, Video Technology, and Film at Toombs County High School. He is also the advisor for the Toombs County Student Media and directs the Toombs County School System YouTube Channel.

 Coach Corley’s passion for Esports and technology led him to Toombs County High School, where he has been teaching and coaching for several years. Before joining the team, he spent five years as a special education teacher at Lyons Primary School and one year as a Georgia Studies teacher at Toombs County Middle School. His background in education and passion for technology have been instrumental in his ability to lead the Bulldogs Esports team to success.

 As the head coach of the Esports team, Coach Corley is responsible for the development of players, the management of the team, and the organization of competitions. His guidance has led the team to success and helped players develop their skills both on and off the virtual field. In the Spring of 2022, Coach Corley was selected by national esports Governing body PlayVS to serve in their Supercoach program where he aids other esports coaches in his area as they grow their programs. He also serves on the GHSA Esports Advisory Committee and the Toombs County Athletics Executive Committee. 

 Coach Corley also has several years of experience coaching traditional sports including high school wrestling where he was an assistant coach for two State Runner-Up teams in 2017 & 2018 and six area championships. Furthermore, He was also an assistant coach for the Toombs County Bulldogs 2017 Region Championship team in High School Boy’s Soccer.

 In addition to his coaching duties, Coach Corley also serves as the advisor for Toombs County Student Media, where he helps students develop their skills in journalism, photography, and video production. He also manages and directs the Toombs County School System YouTube Channel, which features videos produced by him and his students.

 Coach Corley is married to his wife, Mallorie Corley and they live in Lyons, Georgia. They are active members of Lyons First Baptist Church and enjoy traveling in their free time.

Welcome to the Toombs Esports Executive Council!

Welcome to the Toombs Esports Executive Council! Comprised of representatives from each class, our Executive Council, led by the Senior Chairperson, collaborates closely with the Head Coach to enhance our esports program. Responsibilities include planning team events, facilitating recruitment efforts, and ensuring the enforcement of team regulations. New members are chosen through an interview process conducted by the remaining council members at the end of each esports year. Each representative serves a three-year term, with the Junior Representative automatically transitioning to Senior Chairperson in their final year. We welcome all dedicated team members to consider applying for future council positions and contributing to the ongoing success of our esports team at Toombs County!
